The annual rainfall in Ohio is about thirty-eight inches. The climate in the north is cold in the winter, but they are moderated near the lakeshore by the milder temperature of the water. The summers and autumns are temperate and pleasant. In the southern portion the winters are comparatively short and mild, and the snowfall is not heavy, the summers are long and hot. The mean annual temperature is about 51 degrees.

Lake Erie separates Ohio from the Canadian province of Ontario and for a northern boundary gives it 230 miles of shoreline. The remainder of the northern state line adjoins the southern boundary of Michigan. To the west is the state of Indiana. Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Kentucky provide the eastern and southern boundaries. The state offers much to a hunter and should be taken advantage of on your next trip.
